Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical speciality, obstetrics is combined with gynaecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynaecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
This department in Parakh Hospital is one of the largest private-sector setups in Nephrology in the state of Maharashtra. We cover everything in kidney care; from a simple urinary tract infection to the complete management of a kidney transplant.
In our Artificial Kidney Department (AKD- dialysis), we conduct over 1000 cycles of haemodialysis per month. Our HOD, Dr Narendra Dedhia is one of the main architects of the Bombay Model of Dialysis which has enabled us to deliver affordable care to our dialysis patients.

With the help of the Urology department, we at Parakh hospital have complete care for Stone problems (Stone Clinic), where routine evaluation to sophisticated procedures like Ureteroscopy, Ureterorenoscopy, and others are available. ESWL (Lithotripsy) – to break the stone without surgery is also available.
For all Renal (Kidney) cases, apart from the above, teamwork is required (e.g. Dietician, Social worker, etc.) which is possible at Parakh hospital. In fact, a proper diet is very important for getting long term, good favourable results for patients.
